Hi guys...myself and a buddy of mine went to Strandfontein last night (15.10.2010) and the wind was doing its thing. We then decided to wait it out and then as soon as the wind dropped we would be on our way to continue the hunt for the kob! We were gonna wait until early morning but then we fell asleep!!! (not a good idea) Anyway when we we woke we fished broken road..nothing then next to the pool...nothing then i drove down the coast and SEARCHED for a good spot and ened up at the fridge. Got there and took my 1st cast with bloodworm on a 3/0 hook, into some working water and VASSSSS!!! Kob...second cast and VASSS!!! and so on. I managed to land three kob 52cm,54cm,57cm and one under size which was released A.S.A.P. After that session the wind started to pick up and thats when i thought ok i had enought (time for a good couple of beers and a braai ::S::S)
Will be fishing again tonight, MIGHT go to the same spot or will try some other spots that were spotted today!!!

Tight lines!!!

Lost a giant kob, that was taking line at a steady pace today at Tweede Baai, Hooks pulled, unfortunately

managed a 57 cm cob to take home, The Outoppie next to me managed one of around 8kilos

:fishn Awesome stuff gents... Given all these super reports, it just makes me even more excited about getting back to CT in just 12 days time...::rmSounds like it's going to be a bumper cob season this year. :wfish
