let me see. uhmmm on the low i will wade in to try to get my line in behind the breakers, on high i will go about just over waste depth and pitch it in.
sometimes i stand for 5 minuts before casting, give the water time to subside,as learnt from John Vickerman, and it works the bomb

fredman the guys in fishing shops will tell you anything to get you to buy their stock, so dont be easily mislead boet!!
I have fished there (only once TG) and apart from almost having heart failure on the way down and wanting to be airlifted back up again (yeah it is that steep and far down) there wasnt one fished pulled out from maybe 10 guys..... i have been on a boat many times going from rooikrans round the point and not once seen a guy pull a fish.... i do know that guys do get yellowtail there sometimes, but not as often as they would like you to believe, lastly, i feel sorry for the guy who does catch a fish and has to haul it all the way up that forsaken mountainside :crazy1 :crazy1 :crazy1
There are many more fish on the beaches no doubt, altho it was good to do it for the expereince, that way I can actually make a comment LOL :woohoo
Those fish that were caught plentifully must have been a good few years back hey ?

Yep i am talking about 15 years ago....lol...but i knw for a fact there is plenty if crayfish on the western side of the reserve(at the wreck etc....but once again the walk kills you 15-20min)
