Hi Guys I've read trough the whole section and

We left at 04h00 from Wtb and we were worried about the rain as we had rain on the way there the morning and no rain suits yet. It however turned out to be a scorcher of a day with any spot missed with sunblock resulted in red sunburn skin. In the afternoon we however had to contend with a huge infamous Loskop thunder storm coming down from Kranspoort side and we were in Reiersbaai and had to cross the lenght of the dam in the storm. Scary to say the least.
The fishing was quite good and I think the winning tally was 13 species. I surprised myself with 7 species for the day. Ghielie, Dwarf tiger, Makriel, dwarf kurper, vlei kurper, blue kurper and red breast. I had the minimum lenght on the bass wrong and was aiming for a bigger fish and threw back a few which would have made size. So that would have been eight species.
I upgraded my barely size blue kurper later during the day with a healthy female of 1.1kg. I seem to have forgotten more than I thought and duffed both my carp and barbel chances so could have had 10 species. Could also not get the papierbek in the morning so might have had 11 if all went according to plan. The chances were there.
So it was really a great day with my wife first time fishing with me getting five species and she surely has the luck.
The only thing that is really sad and concerning to me is the huge number of bass and the few schools of dwarf tiger and the like. I did not see one school of glasie and overall the small species looks few.
