carpie this to me was the better option came in far less than the one with the motor in your add, and it's also bigger (to carry all the tackle) and made from a much stronger material, believe you me you'll understand what i mean if you've seen where we've been hunting them greens and the ammounts of @#$%^&* we put "daducky" through is just well some would say insane...... Go have a lookysee at Outdoor Warehouse...... Boat is something like R2650, motor R1200 0r R1300, then the batt and charger together is something like R1200, added up it just reaches R5000 and like i said it's bigger and stronger and still fits in the cars boot........
If you live in Alberton , you should try basslake in Henley-on-Klip. Its about 20 min drive from alberton on the R59 toward Vereeniging. But you can nly fish there in the week. Put in sum sick leave..... LOL!!!! or try the Vaal.
Went out the Vaal river yesterday during load shedding at work. (just love this country). Launched at the jetty in Three Rivers with my v-tube. I drifter over to the Freestate and towards the opesite side suikerbos rivers mouth. Only caught 3 ugly barbels on jigs. But they took the bait fast. They didnt give the bass any chance to smell it. Lost one of my jigs to the second babel. Its still in its tummy. If I had a boat and a sharp knife I would cut the bass-terd open and take my jig back.
There were three bass boats hanging around the suikerbos mouth . I think the bass was biting there like crazy. But after a 2 hours I had to get back to work. There is a pig of a bass hiding under the one falenover trees across from the suikerbos river mount. But he was to clever for me. But I will be back. It almost jumped into me xplorer. Imagine explaining to your friends that you caught a monster bass without tackle... LOL!!!
The water is very clean down there against the water towards the Hotel.

Hey you must enjoy it. The water was lekker warm yesterday. Hopefully you are more friendly than those guys. I just hate it when people dont great a person on the water. Its not like I am going to check out what lures they are using. Maybe if they greeted me I could of shown them where I saw the carp hiding underneath the branches. Its amazing what you can see if you are so close to the water and have good poloroids on.
I've seen the junkies that live under the bridges catch more fish than some of these pro's. All they use are a reed, line, small sharp hooks and piece of snot (brown bread)on the end. Then they flick it like when fly fishing. Within an hour they a few fish - ranging from bass to carp. The only f-up is the they only get small rats. Sure 20 rats can be a dinner for a few boemmies under a bridge.....

Just one piece of advice, when you're on the water with a ducky like that, stay clear of them Yuppies with their 400k tritons as they don't like it much to pump your duckies wake water out their boats........

Now here's some
jaw dropping info, just don't let the boating authorities get hold of this post...........:spite.
The Mariner has a semi-rigid floor with pvc regtangular shaped lats that are held in position by a sleeving system, not the info yet.... it was a bit unstable for me to stand in so I took hardboard, cut them into lengths and fitted them over the semi rigid flooring lats, and here's the info....... We are normally three on daducky all standing fishing if there's space on the floor, and our combined weight comes to about 250kg's (vlakvark had put on some weight,
) excluding tackle, lunch and boating gear....... now what I did when the gear made it difficult to move around on her floor (little space) is I fitted some 19mm pine planks on top of her pontoons which we now use most of the time to stand and fish from...... believe you me she's just the best value for money if you're looking for something small, quiet and manageable, oh and sha has to be the most rugged and tough little craft i know (we fish in camo's) so we're really tough with her she's been over several submerged sharp branches and rocks and so on and no real problems.
You do get the occasional puncture especially in the beginning as learning to get the perfect control of the trawling motors power settings and movement (steering) takes some practise and getting used to
