Hi guys,  Im new to the forum, and need some advice please.

Im interested in getting into fishing off a jetski, have been looking through some of the posts by members here and have gotten a lot of info.  So thanks for that.

Heres what im looking for, a jetski which i can use to play with on a dam (ski etc) aswell as using it for fishing.  So it needs to be strong enough to pull skiers out aswell as being stable enough to go fishing with.

I have gone to look at one, Kawasaki ultra250x (2010 model) 56 hours which a friend of mine is looking at selling.  Included is a break nek trailer (galvanised), fish bag, and the cage, bait box, rod holders and bottles; seaworthy for 2011. Asking price is r110k.  Is it a reasonable price?  Any advice on fishing with these types of skis?

I have a friend that has a 2009 Ultra 250 and we launched at Key Mounth. On the sea it is stable enough and also plays nice on the dam.

The advantage of the stability on the sea, does affect a little the playtime on the dam. To do a 360 with a two seater is much easier than a 3seater. Pulling out a knee Board or skies will do fine for we have done it before.

My personal opinion between a Yamaha, Seadoo and Kawasaki it is more going for personal choice. You can go into the detail of the extra fuel consumption on the superchargers etc, again that is what makes it better in the inland water.

About the price it seems OK for he Paid R105,000 for the 2009 without any fishing Kid or a trailor.
