Hi guys Im new to carp fishing and have decide

BigFish went to Nature Reserve this past Saturday.Only got 1 Carp,but he reckons there are more than enough spots that have been cleared of grass to fish comfortably.

Thinkin of going myself the 16th.

can someone please confirm for me wich of the highlighted areas are known as the nature reserve?

the whole part that you highlited, blue red and yellow, that whole bank is the nature reserve...., the yellow part has got allot of grass in to about 20-30 meters... almost the whole red part has got power points ...

That whole shoreline is part of Nature Concervation.The bottom part is when you come in from the gate.Its the Bronkhorstspruit-river inlet.The top left section is known as Os spruit.Shallow water,but decent fish.

one hint, do not come very close to those banks, the officials  are very strict if ther is a boat close to the banks they get the water police to remove the boat asap they take down your/the take boat number/name and give it to the wsaps .... i know the guys very good, and make sure you wear life jackets, those wsapa are full of s#@$%...

 are you fishing for bass or carp from the boat?

yes those three banks specificly,  a while back there was people on boats the broke off the whole banks lines the came till about 15-20 from the bank and drove from one point to the other....

 the bank wher your blue and red marks meet on the other side is a verry good place to fish from the boat, deep and rocky no grass or anything, almost the whole part of the other side of the nature reserve is unfishable from the side Private grounds) but very fishable from a boat... good luck when are you planing to go?

cool thanks for that!

Planning on going saterday and sleeping over on the boat, fish sunday morning and then leave, so saying it's a rocky bottem opposite the meeting point of the 2 lines?

yes as soon as you get ther you will see the rocky mountinlike edge if im not mistaken ther is a white painted or bird poop rock right there is a nice spot...

took my lines out to that spot with my bait boat and made a nice feeding spot there and caught about 5 fish that were more than 5 kg... the bigest was 7.5kg...

yes i only target carp... but this was during the night but i think there will be fish during the day, i dont realy fish during the day ...
