HI Guys.

I am new to the forum and also new to Jetski Fishing.

I have just bought myself a Yamaha Waverunner XL1200(already rigged).

I will be doing my Skippers Next weekend so hopefully I can get the ski in the watter in the very near future.::jdski

Sure I will see some of you guys on the water.

Hi

It comes to about R2295 for a Category C.

I actually have no idea what it should be costing.

Maybe you or someone could comment.

Thats a good price for jhb! we charge R2000 here in Natal for Cat C! Thats theory only the practical training costs about R2200 if you want to do it that way!

Howzit guys,

i just got a fully kitted yamaha FX 160 ready for fishing.

I would like to know if any of you guys are using a VHF marine radio (handheld) and want to know where the best place to get them from is. and what to expect to pay.

Vhf radios dont need plastic bags they are waterproof!! Just the 29mhz rubbish needs a condom!!!

Vhf is far the safest radio and most reliable! The problem is most surf launches dont have VHF radios so then you have to buy a 29mhz radio! Hopefully that will change over time! Did you get my quote?

got everything.

the only thing is that i only have a single capsize bottle and i am thinking of upgrading to a double capsize cage with 2 bottles so that i can use the one as a live well

the ski even came with the fish finder and GPS combo with G2 mapping card and all safety equipment.

all i need is the radio
