Hey. Fill in your location etc.  There is a tackle in CT that has the perfect rod for you. It is a Loomis Shockwave 13.6 and has a 6 oz tip at under R1000. Alternatively pm Khan who also has specials on various rods.

oooh bloody hell guys , I'm as un-decided as Ever about a full edibles rod .i Bought a Seagrand , and Murdered some elf on it saturday , but the rod is not the lightest . well , Not when compared directly to the rod weight's theat ray posted to me telephonically on saturday . crikey .
I'm so confused now , and obviously tempted as hell to buy the Med heavy , but would really prefer a Medium .
the problem is , that medium heavy is just so Damned bloody tempting ......
Besides Arno nel , Who has been greacious enough to post me some info , is there anyone else in the same friggin conumdrum , who might be able to share some experience with one of these Fine Rods ??

R2k+ for a fine edibles , is perhaps stiff even for my leneient Pockets. Perhaps someone could also give me the tackle slut of tackle slut's , number , abaddon...... perhaps he's had one of these under his list of Tackle owned , or both , ....or 3 of Each ,. for all we Know .....

The Sea grand worked , but I had to dis-engage the clips on the grapnels i used , then it's sensitivity increased . I Really would like to give in , and buy a bloody Medium for a change , as all i seem to be owning , are cannons , or Portable uzi's .

well in my books , they are , anyway . i Know before God , some of the guy's on this site Own murdeously stiff rods, then fish for edibles with them , but I would like to do some "doel-gerigte" Kopie for a change , instead of buying a bloody GT-R , and just driving it at legal speed-limits ........

So . If anyone can shed some light for Me , on this topic , would be Most Grateful .

For Once, i am Not speechless .Just clue-less ..........

I'll go with JUANP on this one, I think maybe you must look at a purglas /2 or /3, I'll suggest the 350/3 or 400/3, my buddy got a 400/3 & he target anything from galjoen to cob & steenbras with that - chat to enigma.

purglas. Hmm. You'll see in tackle n tips. I've got an old old 350/1 that a bought in 19voetsek that is a bit light ,but i'm going to restore it and use it for galjoen etc. Price on the 400/2? Cast weights ? The poseidon medium is probably the same as a /2 , and i think because in this area, purglas agents are far and few between , they're under-represented here . Or i'm not seeing them. . . . I wish someone in the southern cape would open a decent bloody store, with more than 5 rods on the shelf. Here it's either blue marlin, or purglas , or. But not both. I think only hennie in george has something similar to what i'm describing. I should sell the blue 6-8, And my loomis, and basically boil it down to "only "5 rods. In-eds, sea grand, sharkey for alles, a medium, and a medium heavy. Kla. Now That , that would be my Dream garage. . . . . Only problem there- is i don't have a 13ft. In that fleet. Other than that- that list reads like jessica alba in a centerfold . . . . .

I think you predicament is on par with an old lady of the night, that got lost in adult world - you know what you want, but you don't know which way to turn to get it!::S

Persoonlike redes. ( Rotse Hengel )

Nice .

What's the difference between the RCSQW350/2 ,

and the blank right through job , the RCSQP350/2

Same Cast weights , same speeds .

Difference ?

Wonder what the price is ??

Bel of mail of PM vir Enigma. Jy gaan skrik en hierdie man weet waarvan hy praat.

Lat ek dit so stel.

ek gaan hom nou Pm .
Ek Ken vir craig goed , hy's Net altyd vrek besig .
EK hou Nogsteeds van die Poseidon , chappie , Moenie Daar N fout Maak Nie .
sales is Nou Net uiters KAK , so Om Nou NOG vrikkin R2600 uittehaal , vir NOG n donderse Stok , Nadat ek NOU NET die sea grand gekry het .............. is ek Nou V$%%^^ Geld se baas , of WAT ??!!!!?? Lolol!
so . Ja Man , ek sal gaan kyk . ek's self bietjie Skrikkerig Omte sien wat n Hmg sal Maak . Hulle is Maar Taamlik Bros , of Hoe ? One Little nick , en jou stok is in sy Chops in .kla.

WOnder if they can Maak it N 3 stuk stokkie , ook .

Weet nou net nie as ek vir my 'n /6 of /7 moet betstel om saam met my nuwe TN40 te gaan nie.

arno if you can bliksem a sinker , then a stroke 7 will be just right . ek weet Net Nie Of Jy Nou Praat van n purglas 6 of 7 Nie .......

Maar defnitief my gunstelling big gun stok , for sure .

Dudleyh- What did you eventually buy ?
Have Enigma build you a Purglass up to your specifications . It Probably shouldn't cost you More than .........Enigma???? R1700? and i can almost Guarantee you , No Other rod , from any other supplier manufacturer or brand , will perform Operate or work the same as it .
Nothing From Loomis , Pentagon , Waft , Akals , poseidon , Assassin Even , seems to fill your requirements , of Lightness , but also being able to handle a 6oz , and Not cost , say , R2k . you gonna be hunting for a Lonnnn Time if you looking for that ...
Shoudl You not want him to build you One , then a Shortened 400/2 ( It's available in a 350/2 As Well , yes ?) Or the Seagrand , Might be the answer . The 'Grand Seems to flex a lot More than it's stiffness will initially allow you to believe , corolating into a Fine casting rod , and , it is thinner by a Mile wen compared to the other 4-6oz blanks .Problem is , it's 14ft........

Then I've answered my own conundrum- a Purglas 350.2 would definitely be the One I'd go for ! As an edibles rod I think it'd Make a fine choice .CQX 350/2 , i Think the Model Code is RCSQP350-2 .

Eh Stu..

Still waiting for that call buddy? ..;)

I had a Purglas 350/2 and it was SUBLIME !!! Paired it with a SL30 and what a pleasure, light, powerful and sensitive at the same time.. The newer one should be even better and I am real keen to get another.. Been in touch with Enigma and am still undecided..

One stick I am not going to overlook is the Shimano Exage 110H .. Had a feel of one at St Francis when Mango joined us on a trip.. He has it paired with a Shimano 15/30 loaded with casting braid and what a great setup that is!! ULTRA SENSITIVE !! I would just pair the stick with a little Trini or Torium - a 20 of sorts .. If I can get a Trini20 for a good price otherwise a Saltist 30 - Prefer them to the Toriums..

AH MAN - DECISIONS, DECISIONS ?? :?:?:?:?

oh trust me- i'm all too familiar with mango's setup- i managed to Drop his friggin Cell phone into the ONLY PUDDLE on a rock we were standing on in transkei! I felt like such a Toss man. Edible fishing- depends on where you plan to throw. Way i see it - shorter works well off the klippe - if and when you ever decide to fish at trappiesbank with me one day, you'll see what i mean. Sheer vertical cliff right behind you. Then length is nothing more than a hinderance to you. The 110 Is nevertheless a fine rod, and were one to come my way, guess it wouldn't feel left out in my garage. . I have a nice sl 30 for it that would suit it nicely.. . I guess i'd only take it as i have so Many of the same, even a 13ft doesn't make much of a change to the 14ft's i normally fish with. . . Sigh. . . ! Decisions decisions. My medium heavy arrives tomorrow, i've promised this is my final final rod. I have one 14 ft rod for every day of the week now, each one bought with the same merits for being bought , with the promise of being the last one . . . . :) reckon i'm going to back off and just fish the grand for a while, i got a 12ft shad pro spinning , and a great grinder- if i wanna fish with a lighter set up, i'll start with the 12ft and grinder , should be light enough ? Pity that one's purchases out-weigh one's fishing two-to-one ,eh?i find though that certain decisions are made, and, in practice , one starts discovering the pro's and con's of said purchase , after the purchase is made. . . . Hindsight is mos 20/20. ! You have enough tackle craig.save some earnings now for your pension. . . . !
