Dugong, thats correct.
The boat was my brothers. The boat is ex natal somewhere. My cousin had it in natal and was called jaluka. he gave it to my brother for his 21's. We bought a new one and he sold it to lurker. Hopefully when Lurker gets the job finished will be able to fish on her again (he needs a skipper)
That boat rides the sea way better than the new butt. may be weight distribution but she flies. wet but soft.

Looking good. Are you going to be fishing in EL? See you on the water.

ps- catching some nice fish off the 180 and Gulu drop off lately.  Attached a pic of my cousins 17kg copper he caught off Gulu just the other day on my boat. Also some great stumps and geelbeck coming out::S

False transom with Livewell and battery boxes...

Problem Im having is trying to space out the deck.

I need the false transom quite close to the motors inorder for the rest of the deck to be set out how I want it. The issue is the control cables (Throttle and gear) are not so happy with tight turns ...

I want to run them under the deck in some 50mm PVC and was looking to have the pipe come up in the Battery boxes and the cables out the back... could possibly cut a slot across the top of the FTransom (out the back) to allow for movement from left to right... Any suggestions?

Next issue is should I need longer cables what do they go for?

She's looking very nice.Control cable's are very expensive.

I have a set of Yamaha 20ft cable's.Don't know if they will work on Merc's

A real pity you never removed all of the foam, it makes a huge difference to the vessel, I've recently completed a 30 foot butt cat.

WHat sort of a difference? I could still do it ... I havent fixed anything to the deck yet, its just cost verse necessity really ...

Hi Lurker will you be adding gunnels to the boat? its far easier running cables through the gunnels as you can bring them out level with the engines at the back you could run them under the deck to the side of the boat then through the gunnels to the transom. Teleflex Extreme cables are about the best you can get and handle twists and turns quite easily

THanks Cam ... You got any idea of the cost of the teleflex? I got a price from a merc dealer for the origionals and they were +- R270 ...
Id really like to run all the cables under the deck and up at the centre of the motors... I hate having cable/pipes on the deck.

Faizal .. ME NEITHER !!! taking longer than I expected!
