just a sugestion, when I swim a bait I Use 0.55 mm kingfisher Giant abbration. NOT THE RED I find it breaks easy for some reason. I have tried 5 reels all break. The yellow one works the best. My leader is 1.00 mm. I use a power swivel at the end of my steel ( 2 to 3 meters) I can then tie the leader onto the swivel as opposed to nylon to coated steel. I use a fig 8 but put the line through the swivel twice. It seems to make a stronger knot. Good luck hope the tips help
