Hey Ryan

Watch the ESA Bass episode that was on tv last night (02 October 2007), the program featured an exclusive day out on Goedetrouw. They hinted at was working, white cranks, white spinners.. Give it a watch i'm sure it would help you!

Lavender Shad cranks in DLN and DD22
Flukes: Watermelon, Madigra
Top Water: Poppers (Dark colors)
Chatter bait: White and silver or white and chartreuse

Your best bet would be to find rocky points

Hi

The dam is now called Lake Phobane. In terms of directions from Eshowe head towards Melmoth/Ulundi on the R66. About 10km out of Eshowe is a dirt road to your left (signposted Goedertrouw Dam and Shakaland). Follow this road (suitable for a sedan car) for 7km and cross the dam wall to find the secure parking area on the northern shore.
Good luck
