Hi guys

Fished Winkels sunday morning with Zeyn and Naeem from the Sealine website. We started fishing at about 05h00 and battled to get live bait. Finally managed to get a shad at 07h30 which i then slid out.Got picked up by a Garrick of 8kgs at around 08h00 and fought the fish for round about 5 minutes. This was my first Garrick i ever caught and it was an amazing experience especially seeing it moving in the breakers whilst fighting it.Tackle used was a Pentagon Mdm HMG and Trini 30...Another Garrick also came out 15 minutes before i got mine of 6kgs and a another guy dropped two Garricks.

Remlin,
was at winkels on sunday afternoon, just south of hetel rocks. had 3 live mullet out------------ zip, nothing.
no shad at all.
other anglers also with live mullet--nothing.
stayed until after 19:00 and packed up.
first time at winkels for me. the beach has too many lights. looks like a christmas tree, cannot see why the fish would come close with all the stars so close by.
now i have and idea how it looks down there, so next year with the sard run, i'll be more of where atc.
congrats on the fish. hope you catch plenty more

Yeah, tell me about it.I waited for like 2 hours to catch my one shad which i then slid out.The other guys also got one or two but the shad were coming out like every 10 minutes or so, so the guy who had his bait in the right place at the right time got the shad.We also fished on the other side of the rocks, the side which is at Forster road. Thanks SS and will try to put up some pics of the Garrick.

Hi guys

Was at foster road saturday(11-4) in the day and the north easter blew us away.

Besides2 stumpy no livebaits were taken. But be careful as our car got broken into.

Looks like they got disturbed cos they dropped the brand new loomis in the bush.

Thanks for the heads up Afghan, we fished there Sunday morning and the water and weather was perfect for the morning session.Wind did start to pick up slightly when we were leaving.Touch wood but we always fished there on a Sunday morning and our cars never got broken into, we normally park at the car park at the dead end by the pool and walk across over the rocks.Normally there are families there in that small grass area they have at the parking lot having braais etc, so i guess your car will be fairly safe there.
