Hi guys, can you please help?

Wen do I know it is time to change the flavor that I am using?
What do I change to? How do I know if I need to go sweet or strong?

Please give me some pointers?

what flavours are you useing when you go out for a days fishing? and it all depends on the day another thing is are you casting on the feeding spot or infront of it? are you using soft medium or hard dips? they explained it all in the stywe lyne a few months ago if the sun is out and its a warm day i always start with a soft dip and if its cloudy i start with a soft and hard dip combined anyway to come back to the question if you fishing with a soft dip and they stop biting then try a floro with it or a drop of the harder dips with it just to shock them no need to change a flavour when the fish keeps on taking the bait

it this made any scense at all great cause this is what i normally do

Warm met sonskyn : Enige soet, vrugte geur soos banjo, tjop tjop, peach, sweet strawberry. Altyd ook FX.As jou tempo afneem skud alles in vla-poeier.

Wind, koeler weer gooi ek sterk geure soos TCP, Garlic of Strawlic of Duiwels. Skud strop in Rooi SA Poeier as tempo afneem.

Jy kan sterk en soet kombineer soos Duiwels en Vaaldam, hou net matigheid voor oe.

That is another thing. I usually just use a mielie bom. Do I need to make a feeding spot too?

You can get a feeding spot going by constantly casting in you bait on the same spot (kolgooi) A good idea is to throw a few (5-10) bombs early in your sestion and the keep casting on the same spot al day long. The fish will keep coming to the "kol" all day.

yea great advice allrounder you should take notes lol anyway when im at a spot where i want to fish for the day i normally just try to see where the fish are feeding sometimes you can see them on the surface then you know where they feed anyway before i start fishing i take a normal spring and just cast a few mielie bombs making a feeding spot then i start fishing and another thing before i forget this new product atoom mix, mix it into your bomb it works for me :fishn

Hi there

When going for carp I will always stat with one of my base dips. Fx, Banjo, Tjop-Tjop, has been and almond. I will try them at 70-110M before I make any changes. If there is no success then I will start to combinations and add something harder.

Hi.
I know there is always the advice of fishing fruity flavours when warm and strong when cold. But just to throw a spanner in those works,I fished a club comp this weekend. It was very hot at the dam and I was using, garlic and tcp,and fishing only one hook as there was too much grass in the water too fish with two,and I ended 3rd.
So,in my opinion, there is never a certain 'situation' where one can say this or that will work.
Its quite difficult because one day one thing will work and the next something else, its all about trial and error.
I'm not saying the advice giving by the mags is incorrect,on the contrary I praise them for giving out those 'secrets', but you should never follow blindly,my advice is use it as a guideline and don't be afraid to try something new!!

What you say is quite true Smity. But going strong from the start may damage your feeding spot. When angling unknown waters I prefer to start soft and experiment from there. There are dams in my area where my first cast is always TCP and then I play around with the amount of dip I through on the ball

Ok so I need to start with soft fruit flavors and work from that. Is this the case in all the dams or do you some times work from strong to soft? And if you combine strong and soft can you use any flavors together or is there only certain ones.

If you want you can use anything with anything!!
As a guideline start with strong on colder/windy days and soft sweeter on warm days, but if it does not work dont throw the same combinations the whole day.
This is what worked for me this weekend. It was very warm!
Garlic/honey float,honey glow on ball & Red activator(spray)
Tcp float & tcp spray on ball
Garlic float & Yellow activator on ball(Spray)#
But like I said, theres never any guarantees!!!
