Hi everyone

We have some serious crabs in our local dam and they actually clip the line (I use a .60 hook trace).

Do any of you have any tips regarding making your rig and bait crab proof?

I was thinking of using a shad bung but I think I'll won't get many pick~ups if the bait is not on the ground.

Strangely we do not have problems with crabs in the summer, but in winter months they are a big issue. I once caught one and used it for bait. His mates ended up eating him, the cannibals
Because of the crabs, I have put on braid on all my reels, no more lines are breaking. It really works. What to do for bait, I must still figure that one out myself
