Hi there guys im from Cape Town and see that there are no CPT guys replying.
There is the N1 dam:
Venue- its located on the N1 as you take the Joostenberg Vlakte turn off and then right over the bridge. Drive on till you get the first set of robots and turn right. Follow the road till it turns into a gravel road then take the first turn right on to the farm.
Security- Very Very safe the owners name is Rudi and looks very well after his dam.
Dam- Its really nice oval shaped dam with a pump station by the entrance to the dam, the dam has a nice patch of reeds to the left. Water is a beautiful brown and is about 10 to 12m deep and some spots 15m. The dams length is about 200m long and 150m wide.
Spots- My favourite spot is close to the N1 side on the far rite of the dam casting two rods out, one at about 60m to the left and the other about 80m to the rite. Another great spot is next to the reeds close to N1 road casting your rods out straight infront of you.
Flavours & Bait- I tend to love using floaties and Gummies on the hook. Floaties and Gummies flavours are Banjo/Caramel/Tutti Frutti. When using the dips on your ball of feed the only thing that you need is Caramal it works like crazy, when its windy i like to add alittle drop of bubble gum on the bomb or Even Perdeby sometimes i like to use alittle vicks but not always. In winter i still use caramal as my base but then a little garlic or TCP works wonders.

Hi Guys,
We were at Sunnyside Farm this past weekend. These were my observations:
- Water depth was at a maximum of 1.8m (measured with a bait boat with sonar)
- Fishing spot to the left (in front of the luxury tent) had a maximum depth of 1.1 meters
- We only caught 1 carp between 8 of us, which was very disappointing (definitely not from a lack of trying)
-At the fisherman's cabin, the water depth is between 1.6m and 1.8m for about 40m. Thereafter, the depth goes to 1m
- There were 8 of us and we could only fish with 1 rod each as there is limited space
- the bank at the cabin is quite high and landing fish will be an issue
- The cabin accommodation is very nice and comfortable
