Hi everyone - I bought a boat and cannot find anyone who can help ID this mariner - its either late 80s or late 90s 60HP 2 stroke / 3 cylinder i believe..

Plz send me a VIN code or something I can use to find parts - thanks!

i foud a similar machine from the late 90s with the same writing of the HP on the side of the cover - look for the faint "sixty" in mine, i dont recall the late 80s models having this - however im unsure..

Need to order an impeller and prop gasket set asap -

If i remember correctly, these are often referred to as the Mercury/Mariner split cowling model. Mariner has a deal with Mercury that they would purchase and rebrand the engines under Mariner - exactly the same, just different stickers.

It is indeed a two stroke three cylinder.
As for the year, i think it's between 1986 and 1991

yes - but not being near the darn thing is annoying... hoping some guru can confirm what impeller i need.. for the record i browsed each mercury 60hp model with 3 cylinders and matched the cowl..

one part i found was this:

If a sealiner can't help further,

try speaking to Neil Hardman from the boating shed in retreat. He used to service our mariner outboard when he was at Anchor Boat shop. If you email him pictures, he could probably help. Website below
