Cool photo , Is this at Sodwana ?
I just get Tired of thinking how to launch that from the beach - I bet Half of Zululand is there to help getting it done.
- heavy rigging but should be very nice once you are on the water.
The Leecats and the 28ft Magnums have a reputation of banging in the Cape but then again our sea conditions are different - we travel long distances and 100-150NM for a days fishing is not uncommon but in KZN it is not as much
We have long period swell that makes heavy boats like the Cobra Cats / Lee cats and Ace Gliders ride hard. Butt Cats being popular because they are lighter
KZN has more of a Short Chop with small Swell that doesn't seem to bother the heavier boats as much .
So a lot of Where and What for has to play a big part in the Decission making process.
The Glacier bay as nice as it is does not have keelstrips and if beach launched will quickly get full of dings and scratches. To retro fit keelstrips on a 1.8 bar boat drilling holes in the hull you decide.
Lee Cats...
