If Admin would like to organise it I will sponsor 5 boxes of line and an AFAW Big Beach .....................

The only rules I would like to see is no line under 0,40mm and no reel's of a capacity less than 250m when filled with 0,40 , what do you think?

1:Erich, from my experience ,multipliers can be "tuned" in a few manners.i.e making use of the centrifugal brakes. making use of thicker oil in bearings, line diameter and line level. .All of the above may be used in combinations until it works for you in an optimal way.

2:p.s. If you are wondering whether a big surf multiplier can be casted without touching the spool until touchdown, then the answer is yes, it can be done,If you are wondering if it will negatively influence your distance, the answer is no,in fact quite the opposite, better distances will be coming your way if you are willing to put in the effort.

Kitefisher has touched on somethingthat I only found out on Wednesday , and it seems to Work GREAT , and that I also haven't seen someone else mention yet- Thicker Grease . I have started using this method Now , and found that  point no.2 occurs Now that I've started using the thicker grease .  Yesterday off the rocks I could Wing it , and stand and watch as the 3 oz sinker pulled off the line without my finger On the spool- having only a 10ft rod I was pulling out all the stops for max dist, and , for now - the thicker Grease is working like a charm . I also use the brake blocks in the sl 30 . Because I multi-task My Reels with different Rods I am always on the take to Learn something New , but I can persoanlly vouch for the thicker grease method , as , as Kitefisher says , some of us have our own persoanel Demons , and I also Like to " Moer It " .!!! Lololol !!!

Good luck

Mastering the art of casting and finally whacking one perfectly Is equivalent to that Early Morning Pee , when the steam rises from the ground as you stand there in self admiration , feeling on top of the world !! . Lol !

Hiya Def-e-nition,

Using thicker grease is the best way to prolong the life of your reel bearings and at the same time you get the perfect cast every time, especially on the heavy gear.

You will loose 20 - 30 meters, but as long as you can hit the 100m mark you will always get the fish.

Another good reason for the thicker grease is that you will not have to open the casings so often to re-apply the thinner 'high speed' oils.

I have used a mixture of Prolong and gearbox oils for years and it has never let me down. I recently found a simple off the shelf product by Sure-Catch. Its a great thick based bearing oil...great stuff.

That sounds fair to me - will PM these details to Homie, Kumz, Emp, Reef and few other guys from Admin.

I am sure the prizes will go down well.

I would like to give this Ultima line a bash some time.
