Hi all My little Garmin 90 is becoming unreliab

Hi all

My little Garmin 90 is becoming unreliable. Often cant find depth and I have to switch off and reboot for it to find range and depth.

How can I determine if this is a unit or transducer problem and is there anybody in Joburg (randburg)who can service or test the unit.

I would love to buy a new colour Fishfinder and GPS combo but the resources are lacking for such a big outlay now. 

Pleae help me

Even if you did find the problem, transducer or display - it is not worth spending money on it.  Replacement is the only way to go unfortunately.  Send me a PM when you are ready for a quote.

P.S - I saw this fishfinder GPS on Gumtree that looks like a great deal.

I saw that advert but was still doing homework on the model but it has been sold.

All dealers please pm me with quotes on suggested entry level combos for rubberduck application.

Can anybody tell me how good the gps maps are for offshore, does it include reef positions etc.

If you are new to fishing an area would the gps maps actually help you find reefs for fishing.

Has anybodys fishing improved due to technology and which gps / fishfinder features impacted most.

Finally which maps would you recomend.
