These are my first trolling lures. Bennie I have been using polylite 32032-20 from NCS. Is this the right resin to be using, I hope so because I bought 25kg's of the stuff. I used simple pill bottles as molds and break pipe to run the leader through. I know the draw backs of this as there will be rust issues but I wanted to try first to see if they came out half decent.

Pretty awesome Scott. What about using 3mm plastic pneumatic tube instead of the brake pipe? Cheap enough and readily available from Bearing Man.

my brother in law got the skirts online as his fishing room burnt down so he needs to stock up again and wants me to make him some lures.

Only criticism I have is that there are no fish attached to them yet

@Limpopoking thanks for the comment. Ya I do need to change the pipe but the only one I can get in Kokstad is black and I didn't think it would look as good.

The resin is fine... Nothing wrong.
As for that tube. Rather look at 2X4mm Pneumatic tubing or chaffing tube then use a wire though it to keep it straight. If you need, just send me a postal address.

Thanks for the advice I. Think I'll do that. What would you use for jet heads if. You cast the pipe in lead?

Sorry to ask so many questions about the resin I'm using but would it also be good for casting sticks and plugs or would it be to brittle. As I do have mold max 30 and I'm planning to try my hand at that once I'm up to learning by my mistakes, have to say the tutorials do help though.

You mentioned in one of your previous posts that you could get an additive to make it less brittle would it work for my resin that I have? I cast a few more the other day and they are super brittle almost like glass I tested a reject one by dropping it and it almost shattered. I think I may have over cooked the catalyst although I did weigh it out.
