Hi All,

Im rather new to bass fishing abd looking for a rod & reel for me to start out with. I came across a nice Abu Garcia rod & reel combo (blue max) for about R700.

As far as I know, Abu Garcia produces very good rods and reels. Will this be a good starter stokkie for me to start out with?

If your starting out I honestly dont recommend a bait caster. It takes alot of practice and you willl get ALOT of birds nest.

Ive bought mine month ago and am very happy with it actualy. just practice to use it. its lightest combo ive ever felt and its deffinatly not a bad price for what you get.

Will last you long.

Personally I cant justify paying thousands of rands for a single rod and reel.

This is balanaced out. Value for money
