Hi All,

I'm more of a bass fisherman, but would like to dabble in the odd carp fishing every now and then. I'm looking for an affordable rod and reel combo. I came up with the following, but I have NO idea how they perform:

Reel: OKUMA LONGBOW LB11-650

Rod: OKUMA TOURNAMENT PRO F2532-20N

P.S: would be great if this rod and reel can double up as a saltwater rod and reel. What do you guys think?

Like I said, I'll be fishing for carp every now and then, so I don't need top of the range stuff, but I want to buy something that'll last me a while

Thanks :)

Hi,

I have fished with the longbow reel for three years now and have no issues. Its a good allrounder reel.
The tournament Pro Rod should also do what you are looking for. I would say that the combo will fit the requirements as set out above.
I cant comment on fishing in the sea with the combo.
