Hi all,

Could any one help me???? looking to take to the side of Bon Accord Dam,

1. Is it a good fishing spot?

2. How is the facilities there, could i take a lady with?

3. What species fish will i get there and any tips for what baits to use??

Hi Bogus!!
All I can tell you is every time we went there we caught some fish. There are 2 sides of the dam. 1 side ladies friendly, other side not that great! But I have to add, I havent been there for years. Live in Mosselbay now, so Im all saltwater now.

Smousie is totaly right , The boat club side is good for the ladys, but i find the fishing not that good ( personal opinion) the other side is Onderstepoort side..not good at all for the ladys, but the fishing in my experiance much better.

Alot of Catfish, Chic livers and the usual work very well, and alot of small carps, 1-3kg, all on sweet dips
