Hey guys.

Just wanted to know or get some advice please.
As a newbie to bass fishing and 9/10 being alone I am looking into fishing and learning the trade at locations fairly safe and guarantied stock, if that makes any scenes.

I been looking around and wanted to take my brother out for the day this coming Sunday, Bass lake looks amazing but the cost, works out to R240 pp for the day, bit rough if you sponsoring another as well....

Any opinions on this matter would be appreciated.

Tim hey thank you,

Gave them a call earlier in the morning, claimed they are open but still your right the cost. I just don't understand it..

You get what you pay for. I doubt there are any venues like Bass lake in SA..The water is Crystal Clear and if you fish it correctly you could get a fish on every cast.

It is very very expensive that is no lie.

get natural colours and fish a slow twitch.

Hey lads Thought i'dd do a quick update to keep topics like this up to date, specially for new guys (like me ) to keep this as up to date as possible.

Did not make the trip out this weekend past due to work loads, but bass lake still on the radar and going to pop by Nigel Dam in next few days to see how accessible it is.

I am also planning a day trip in two weeks... I am use to fishing off a bigger boat so I was thinking of taking a canoe with because the dont allow anything larger than this. Is it worth it to bring it alone or are most of the good spots accesseble from the bank? Also what colour flukes best work in those waters. Thanx!
