Hey Guys

Imagine a perfect fishing show where we have Wesley Rapson as the english presenter and Hennie Papenfuss as the afrikaans presenter?

Now imagine it free on E-TV. Where Wesley can fish with his Trini and Hennie with his Saltist and not forcefeed their current sponsor to us. They also test all tackle available like rods, reels, hooks, swivels, nylon etc (kinda like the car shows).

They invite legends like Barry Wareham, Brian Rapson, Nigel Heath, Mike Pautz, Andrew Pautz (legend rod builder) and so on to fish on the show and share some of their knowledge.

They could call it FISH and tie it in with Hennie & crew's new magazine and put the catch of the month (one of us) on the front page. Fish throughout SA & abroad and invite magazine subscribers from that area to fish on the show.

Now boys and girls wouldn't that be nice - if only we lived in a perfect world.

I enjoy Wesley and Hennie, I can't tell the difference if it's english or afrikaans because they both speak 'fish', my favorite language! :)

Talking about Wesley, miss him on ESA, enjoyed watching him, but ....... wasn't he the one that started with ON DAD ???? huh huh huh

In the perfect word yes that wud be a gr8 show ...

neilg i did ask the question about "ON DAD" , i was told that it was around for a bit ... Wes did bring it all of us on ESA ...

Damn Wes has a spunk that very few anglers have ..
Hennie is a great fisherman & gentleman ..
I did have a chat with him some time back ..

Both Wes n Hennie dont have chips on their shoulders ..

That's great will ove to fish along side them both any day .

Hopefully sooner than later ...

My opinion ...

The other thing i think wud be great ..Is just having a Rock & surf Show ..Then a dropshot & deepsea ....

I wud like an hour show per week on each facet ...
Wishful thinking ....LOL

You are spot on with the ideal fishing show.
Would also enjoy it more they would fish a specific are and indicate the spots in the area, also what to target, bait and traces, etc.
Whenever I go to a new area, I try to ask the locals. Sometimes they are helpfull, other times they keep their spots and just tell where everybody else fishes.

Would be great if they fished an area such as Mosselbay - which I don't really know, and indicate all the spots where both eds and non-eds can be targetted.

I enjoy ESA, but everybody knows that the island at Mazeppa produces good catches of shark. Enjoy watching them fish for sharks, but must admit, did also enjoy last weeks episode on the Ncungi Channels between Cebe and Mazeppa. Grew up on that strectch and it was nice to see the eds come out.

An hour show on R&S, Deep Sea, etc, is also a great idea.

Lets hope for the best.
