Fanie just checking but our roof windows have two settings when closed . one setting is a tiny gap to let in air, other is shut tight. will check if they leak. our front hatch would not close as the cabin has wpressured it skew. but forced it closed and now it works perfectly after a week or two of it getting pushed by the cabin into place. really want to fish next week but need to wait for my old man to get back from the bush as i think its only fair i wait for him for the first run, think he will murder me if i go without him but dam the weather is looking good next week!!

Update and the rig for those interested.
Boat does 39 knots seven up with 350 litres of juice.
20 hrs on engines so far after 2 trips.
fuel consumption on second trip of 137nm was 280 litres. average speed 28 knots, ran from 39 and 00 to Gordons Bay no slower than 30 knots as we were in a rush .. 2 l per nm.
Expect at 4200 rpm, 24 knots fuel consumption will go to 1.8 /nm which is really really fuel efficient , exactly what we hoped for in times where petrol is so expensive! Need at least ten trips to get more accurate figure
Not one problem with boat build from kamassi so far. will keep updated especially after she gets punished this season coming up.

ya that was a push of a day but from gordons its 100-120 nm so its far!! enjoy your boat finishing up! , about to board back in sa in july!
