Hey guys - going to try bakkies today around 12 no

The perfect end to a Monday.
Got down to the beach and what a surprise..it was empty and the conditions where on.

Great colour in the water,
Good wave action, Omo water everywhere
No sand or kelp to be seen
Scattered cloud with warm air,
The makings of a perfect winter sunset session.

All it needed was to produce fish. I had 5 sinkers and they all got taken by the suspected holes that was i trying in but there was so much action that I had to go into drift bait mode.

So the session was short but sweet and my monday ended with a smile.

Server was on the fritz last night when i tried to post this girl.

It picked me up when I was drift baiting after high....

6 undersizers released and this beauty which was Webered last night. - 42cm and in great condition

water far to flat today for gallies and very clear too.Wait until saturday or next week after the cold front that hits us on sunday.

Went to grotto beach on tuesday with wesly. Water was high and brown along the rocks. Great we thought but after 3 hours and no bites, not even a nibble we gave up. Very dissapointing especialy if you are a new fisherman. Am I in the wrong place at the wrong times? Thinking of going to bakkies today but also don't like the street people hanging around if I am going to be on my own.

You drive past bakoven towards Llundudno, you will pass the arts and crafts on the right hand side.Its the next bay ,where the palm tree is.Nobody will bother you there,very safe.DONT CAST FAR.Gallies are within 10m of sea frontage.Saturday will be perfect .Better low tide than high tide.

Hi Redrox, no problem with you.

I have, with a number of guys been fishing that spot for nearly 30 years, I am not going to feel bad about becoming extremely hostile to ANYBODY that seeks acknowledgement by "gaaning" on about it.

See the post that Simen made about the Milnerton area, groot bek talk really sux.

The worst is that many of the newby visitors are taking all that they catch, I almost had another stand up fight, a guy wanting to bag what kooed like a 20cm fish.

Come on man, this is not right, and we need to thank who?  People with no standards as well as those that bring them there.
