@ Diesel- please do not throw the extra away.....

Please give them to me.....^^..

i am dedicating this catch to you- and mana to you for showing me how to target them.

This my first catch - and at 5.3kg........ it fought harder then my biggest garrick i caught.

I really had to pull hard as well to take him out of the reeds-

Diesel you the man....

live one wasnt even 1min in the water- as i was putting rod on the rod stand it took me- what a feeling- even better than fishing live bait for garrick

Hi Everyone!

Just some questions- How do you get the platties to enter the trap(attraction)? And how is it placed in the water (fully or half submerged)?

like a slide trace i got 2 snelled hooks the bottom hook goes through the back leg and the top hook that goes through the nose, i find once they injured they dont try dig they try surface for air, so they go mad for about 10 minutes then they start to drown, if there is alot of trucutre i either put him on a float or i kill it first to avoid a mishap with the structure

Awesome stuff man thanks. What about circle hooks can I put just 1 through the nose or something don't know if two of those will work so great. Have you ever fished for barbel at footlose trout farm there is this one that keeps bullying me I just cant stop it from going into the reeds any advice? I lost 4 huge things in the same spot on the same day I think it might be the same fish::cavmn

i doubt its the same fish, but if you use circles the work very very well on a barbel as it has a nice soft corner in the mouth, try it bud, look if you cant stop a feesh from hitting the reeds you gonna have to up you tackle or play him smart
