Really bad weather and lots of little ones! Only a nice size muddie 1,5 but that was all worth mentioning! I was looking at the waters in an attempt to read them and figured that we were fishing on the wrong side of the wind also a lot of anglers creating feeding spots which caused a distraction, worst of all on the Friday night the fish where biting and then the flying ants arrived!!!!! 1000000000's of them and the fish had easy picking so the biting stopped

. I also noticed that as soon as the thunder arrives the fish also stop biting wierd! Can confirm that the Fish bite on Hemp, Blood Worm, Caramel, Garlic, Pink Sweets, Pretty much everything as I think most of the standertonians use pap only so the fish gets stoked when something with a cash value pops into the dam lol! The dam is very untouched on most sections and 99% of the guys fish off one side of the dam, which I recon has spooked the biggers onto the other side which unfortunetly is not public ground but alas I have a contact and the guys talk of mega fish which hand around that side also the wind generally blows towards that side of the dam which is directly opposite to the bank where all the yokals fish so the fortress is where you want to be! Also you will have acess to the river just after the dam wall so nice yellows should be lurking

Maybe this weekend I might be heading out again but no sure yet!
