Hentiesbaai Feb 2012 accomodation advice please

Goeie dag,

We have booked accomodation in Swakop but the agents would only be able to confirm our booking a week before we leave as an international film team may take all the accomodation and therefore we are also looking at other options.

We would rather book now and know we have accomodation. But now we rather look for accomodation in Henties as every one (vissermanne) seems to go to Henties.

I google Henties accomodation and will find 100s of accomodation but would rather book where you guys advice me to go. We are 3 guys and we are looking for safe accomodation and self service. Is it true that robberies are high in Henties?

Please confirm that I can buy fishing permits in Henties and that bait can be bought without any doubt in Henties.

Any feedback or good links will be appreciated.

Anton, more! ek kom al laaaank met Henties saam. Die site wat Koper opgesit het is waardevol. Vat alles saam, wat kos betref, dis baie duur daar. Drank en hengelgery is goedkoop in Henties. Diefstal kom gereeld voor, veral as julle saans slaap. Ek het al 7 keer persoonlik deurgeloop onder diefstalle. Sit maar jou seatbelt aan en sorg dat jy elke dag ALLE permite by jou het. Enige fine wat hulle uitskryf is R1500.

I have 2 good options and we will make our final decition within the next 2 days. One of the options is a house in a complex and the security sounds very good.

So know we are going to Henties and not Swakop and know I will start searching this site for the best fishing spots in Feb. I saw some where that we can take out our own mussel at Jacalspitz, any other place where we can get our own mussel?

Any advice on good catches would be appreciated.

Dink ander sal dit dalk ook ondersteun . Los die "gillies " uit . Meeste van hulle is net daar om te kyk wat hul kan steel en wanneer !!

Die wurm verkopers moet jy ook jaag .Hulle gaan jou wurms verkoop wat jy nie mag in jou besit he nie .Dan gaan gee hulle jou voertuig nommer vir parke raad !!!

Moeilik om vooraf plekke aan te beveel .Aangesien strand oor nag kan verander .

Beste is maar om wanneer julle daar is .Rond te ry met laag water en te kyk waar moontlike gate huidiglik is .
