Hi all, I just recently started to get in to fishing game with my dad who is no longer with us, I'm 19 and just looking to go fish with some experienced people who can help me out, I stay in cape town in the wynberg/plumstead area, iv spent a few hours at my grandparents place in pearly beach trying to catch fish off the beach with no luck, just lots of hooks and sinkers lost, so if anyone is going fishing and would like to show me a thing or three please send me and message or email or reply here,

many thanks!!! 0726986686 bb 293DFA97
Welcome to Sealine,Tim.
Very mature of you to approach the site's members,as there's lots of stories about safety risk when fishing solo.
Best advice from me is to look at SSEC,you'll find them on the site under general angling if you scroll down.
Lots of good guys with wealth of experience in their social league and very helpful fellahs. And they're a fun bunch of guys.
At 19 you pick up things quickly if you pay attention with your eyes.
If you're stuck,I plan to go down for an hour here and there to keep gear
In running condition. But conditions must be right, and the UV rays at moment are a hazard.
I've had a few newbies fish with me,but I rather let them adapt at their own speed so as to gain confidence, and also enjoy the moment without making it a chore.
Anyway,im en route to False Bay near Sandvlei if you're in the area.I would need to check with the ball and chain first though....
Cheers
