Help Needed

Hi Guys

I need some advice on where to do some float fishing.

I baught the laaitie his first rod and reel and know he wont be able to start with carp angling at the age of 4. So I want to get him in some action with a float and targeting any specie.

Any suggestions on where I should take him. I dont worry if we are only catching 2" canary's.

Ive only got a small dingy with trolling motor.

Rietvlei dam has plenty Canaries and the water is nice and clear, you can actually see them as they take the hook. Get a spot that has a opening in the water grass, you will nail them there. It might be a bit early in the season for them but go and give it a go, you never know.
