Hello Sealiners,

I want to thank everybody who supported me in this situation where my kayaks have been stolen by the man who goes by the name of John Badenhorst. Everybodies support gave me the power in the situation.

Three weeks ago when this topic resurfaced, John got hold of me before I had even seen the posts, he obviously realised that stepping on one sealiners toes would have a ripple effect. This in my opinion is the most powerful thing about this forum, freedom of information, nothing to hide behind!!!

So with the chance that I might get my kayaks back or some money for them, I promised not to stoke the fire online anymore. Now after three weeks of daily promises/lies, I have once again had enough. I now am telling the people who supported me the truth, he has had my 2 kayak(a pink and a cammo green one) for 20 weeks. My suspicion is that somebody who John owed money to claimed my two kayaks as reimbursement, who knows?

Now my last option is to go to the police with it. Please PM me if you have any ideas how we can track this guy down.

Once again, thank you all very much! Please let me know if you ever want to try out kayak fishing.

There is not a honest bone in this guys body, he will sweet talk and promise and con and convince himself that it is not so bad to mess people around and get away with it.

Until one day the police knock on his door, and i think this has to happen, not once but twice or three times.

A bit of advice go open a case for one kayak and a few days later open one for the other kayak , make sure they investigate him twice , and put him through the kak twice .

Give him gears
