Hello Guys,

Paul here from Centurion gauteng,

I'm an old fisherman from the eastern cape, fished salt and freshwater, quite new to the bass scene,

I would like to know from you guys if there is any decent dams around the Centurion area ? with some Bass, big or small, The real purposes is just to get my head clear from work...Catching a bass is a bonus

I tried Rietvlei yesterday with no luck...to many leeches and very long grass. Seen some people with decent catches there though ? Maybe i was fishing the wrong spot ?

Want to get me some waders and go back to rietvlei again, any ideas where i can get a pair of waders for cheap ? I tried using plastic worms with a slow and stop retrieval technique....

If possible i don't want to travel to far 70km -+ at the most.

ill be doing bank angling.

Also i'v heard good rumors about bronkies, worth trying ?

Also seen some post about small dams in the techno park area ? its close by and i would love to give it a try even if the bass is small.

Thanks in advance for the input guys ! see you at the fish water !

Thanks for the replies,

Was again today at Rietvlei, No luck, damn grass, you will need a wader to go in way deep, and try casting over the grass ?

Ill go try struben, thanks!

HI PAUL YEAH LOOKS LIKE THAT'S THE WAY BUT IF YOU don't have a wader try using a fluke cast it on to the grass then reel it in until in drops then let it sink let it stay there for a while and then do a jerking retrieve.....or try a light colored spinner bait around the grass patches should work ^^
