Hello folks.

I'm busy reading an article where they are suggesting which rods to use for different applications.

To qoute them : "Employ a lightweight rod for buzzbaits and
spinnerbaits. The ideal rod is lightweight, 6 ½ - 7
feet, with a medium action and medium soft tip."

I just want to know are they talking about a medium power rod, with a moderate action, that doesn't weigh too much or am I confused?

I never use a specific rod for a specific bait! Depending on circumstances I will use for instance a heavy action rod for worms in heavy cover to pull the fish out quickly and a medium action around boat docks etc! So look at what situation you are in and use the applicable rod!
Also it is dependent on the weight of the bait and clarity of the water!
I won`t use a 1 oz spinner bait on a soft tip medium action rod since the hooks on such a spinner bait needs power to set it in the hard mouth of a big bass!
