heheheheheheeeee....hey guys i have the Daiwa sl50shk reel and would like to know which rod matches up nicely with this reel for surf and rock angling and mostly for edibles. all advice highly appreciated.

Get a purglass 400/1 or 2...should be a great thrower with some backbone...else look for the kingfisher delux...another brilliant but understated rod...both these suggestions should be quite budget friendly too..

I used it with my Assasin Medium action (nice combination), till I got my new Saltiga, which I will be trying out at Hole in the wall next weekend

Hi Dubs

I use a Purglass 400/3 and Daiwa SL50SH combo when going for the heavies. The casting is great and pulling a heavy weight is no problem.  Haven't had any problems yet.  Upgrading to a Torium 30 tho cos the daiwa is about 5yrs old and getting tired.

Been advised by a pro to get myself a 350/3 instead.  Reason being, i'll get better distance with the shorter rod because i'm not the tallest tree in the bamboo forest.
