Heavy Quality Jigheads

Where can one get heavier jigheads to fish soft plastics in deep water (anything between 20-100m water) ?

The biggest I've seen in PE is about 1.5ounce, but I'm looking for heavier, even up to 5 ounce

can anyone help ?

Neil, get hold of Marshie on this site. He makes them as far as i know and he's up in your neck of the woods.

Hi Neil, ask Van who stocks them in PE (they are not cheap) - but very good quality. I have some upto 5oz.

Also Nepps has some amazing heads from Chris Wong of Jigstar in NZ. A lead head (dayglo green) with a splitring attached to which you attach the hook of your choice onto which goes the plastic. Must have the best action around!!!

Good One HT - When he arrived at my place his landy was jammed to the hilt with poppers, jigs, rods, reels etc etc. Nice and Shineys!!!! he must be the ultimate tackle junkie.

Doesn't MIAS have a online shop ?

I really really really can't understand why the biggest and best fishing shops are so far away from the deep blue sea !

Seker omdat julle don@#$rse transvalers meer geld het as ons en meer koop omdat julle so min kan gaan visvang.

Yup, he's got more tackle packed in his bags than Fred Tucker has in stock.

Now that is a case of the Pot calling the Kettle Black!!!!! :fbash

HAHAHAHAHAHA!

Neil, an even easier option is to fish an Elevator rig...... That way you can fish as much weight as you want.... kind of like  TRUE dropshot rig with oversized weight and hook...

I'll shoot some pics of my Jigstar heads... but I've only got up to 2oz I think....

But the design and idea I think I prefer much more than regular jig heads!

Owner also make some in the plus one ounce category. Not sure what size they go up to, but with Owner, you know you are getting good hooks. I got them from Angling Africa in Pta.

You guys with the bigger jigs, pls post some pics, if I can't get them in PE I will have a mould made and make them myself, but I need to see pics of the stuff.
