Heading down to seapoint this afternoon

Was slightly murky but warm, fish were around but skittish ended up only taking one over 1.2kg but otherwise a good day. Strange orange sludge everywhere on surface. Might be from the battle scene they filmed out in the bay earlier this afternoon. Water was perfectly calm. Viz roughly 5m. Hope this helps other capetonians out there. Cheers

gonna try head out again today but the winds picking up so not sure, will post again if it works out. You reckon melkbos will still be good this weekend? Want to go get some crayfish for the braai.

At the end of queens road, theres a tidal pool. Past the tidal pool theres a bay, nice and rounded with kelp and sand. Generally go in there.

Don't worry I'm always watching. Never relax in Seapoint. Might head down today again, weathers clear and calm and the water looks better than it did a couple days ago.

Went down, viz was worse couldn't find any decent fish and there were hundreds of blue bottles. Not fun. Got stung all around my mouth and lips. Hopefully Saterdays wind will clear it a bit. Viz was about 3m. Not ideal.

I had a bluebottle experience like that at Stilbaai once, eina!!!!
3m is good enough for melkbos :) Went to horestrails to take the dog for a walk yesterday..was clean and warm, and the dog ate every blue bottle he could find! haha

Shot, gonna try head there on Sunday, how deep do you normally have to go to find the decent fish there? Going for kreefies but if I can get a shot off while I'm at it, all the better.
