ok her is my report on Toorbos.
the wooden cabins at toorbos are fantastic there is every typw of comfort you woud need and i a great place to go for a relaxing weekend.
i am definatly going back.
as for the fishing the up side is that every cabin has a boat and a trolling moter so there no need to bring a boat just your rods.
the dam itself is a little small but there loads of lilly pads and and grass and not much structure in terms of trees ect but lots of reeds.
the water is very stained so dark colours are the was to go, i caught 90% of my fish on dunebug creature baits.
the water when i was there was very cold with the max temp being 16 C so fish where very lazy. we fished Groenvlei on the sunday (as it was only a 20min drive from Toorbos) and it was even tougher.
but all in all was good weekend i think in the summer months the fishing will be much better.
all in all i is a great place to go with the family.
i have posted the monster (not) that i caught but i must admit i dont think the fish get caught often so they really do put up a good fight.
like i said i will definatly go again. :fishn
