Hartebeespoort day fishing 09/06

hi guys

well after hitting a blank last week, we decided to go yesterday & try that spot again.

we got to the dam at 5am ( damm it was cold ) only started fishing when the sun came out.this time i landed a nice size carp, i didn't have a scale to weigh the fish, i would say it was maybe a 6 or 7 kg carp or even more.i used mielies and i took the line very deep.

the wind was *** & lillys were also troubling us, we left the dam at 2pm.
the fish was released after i took my photo ( Hopefully will catch him again wen his more big )

Hi Ryan

Nice Carp , i had a look at the One Gordon got as well.

I see the lilies on teh left towards the bridge gave you guys problems.

that place is not being managed properly.

lol that was my fish he was posing with lmao..

you right the place is not managed properly. but i love that spot i always catch big ones, last year winter also same spot i hit 3 BIG carps evn my 12 year old nephew caught a 5 kg that day.. the fishing is good there BT THE SPOT IS VERY DANGEROUS cause of the bridge, can get robbed anytime

towards the right the water gets very deep quickly.

No need to drop deep as you already in deep water.

that spot is risky at all times .

how many did you guys get  for the day.

b the way good to see you guys are concealing the good spots .

The road in the background gave it away .

Sweetcorn soaked in Aniseed for winter is a deadly bait , as well as bloutrein mielies.
