Guys

I remeber in my younger days of Sealine, I had requested some info on the use (the curse I had) of hard/jerk/slash baits.  Perhaps If I had then shown the the pic's I'm about to add, then advice would have been different.  Why? well the Boss claims that I'm no longer passionate about LGF :uzi, but that I'm a Complete and Utter Obsessed Maniac, this statement she based on my hard/jerk bait collection.  Now i've attached a picture and the question is "You think....?" do you think she right or am I still safely within the borders of being passionate about my angling.

P.s. This is not the soft baits, if she'd seen those she'd lose it all together 23 times over, cause that's the amount of soft lures I've got more than my hard lures....

:f1shy

Sorry the pic and a smallish poll I added disappeared when I hit the send button, so here's the pic.

Holey cow! and I thought I had a lot. Agree with LL. An old saying goes something like "More fisherman get caught by lures than fish".

That is unequivically me!! I love lures. If it looks good enough to eat to me, I reckon fish, and in particular Bass would think so too...

I have decided however that I am going to curb my spending my choosing only 3 colours of Lures. Dark, Light and Natural. I tend to now only buy natural colours mostly.

Gosh, I was looking at the Storm lures website, and I saw some shrimp and crab lures.... Man, I reckon those MUST work!!!!

LGF, getting back to you, yo uknow my opinion of your "passion" and I stand right next to you my friend..... Off to the looney bin we go :?

Whew that is one colection of Lures.......

Think we'll change your name to Mr bassproshop SA.

Where do you fit all those goodies in Daducky?

Still nice collection and you have a longway before you go looney - got a mate who has a double garage dedicated to his fishing equipment and this excludes boats etc

Yeah

Thought as much, I too had a couple of insignificantly short moments in time where something (small voice/s) told me that perhaps it's a little too much, but like I said the voices were far to insignificant and waaaaayyy tooo small to be taken serious....

So, my lures grows with a steady rate, at least 2 (hardbaits) and/or 3 -5 new softbaits per week..... so Ryan, perhaps I should get hold of your bud ito sorting out the space in our double garage as it's not long...... Oh and space on DADUCKY, Not a problem check the pictures of Vlakvarks new PB and you'll notice the wooden decks (underneath there's alot of space + I/we can sit on top of the lure boxes without actually sitting on them physically, also that yellow bag in the center, that takes 18 worm (softbait) boxes so ......... perhaps my post's heading should have been, New Mobile Lure shop, but then I don't sell any, I'll galdy pass you one that works for free, but I don't sell..... no space for the change on DADUCKY.

@Raggieman, there's only a couple of those lures that I haven't tried but thats because they are brand new and haven't been out to any water yet..... most productive ones are the strike pro's and some of the Rapala's, yet to land LGF on my ZARA's, Norman's, Storm's and Frenzy's.

I, O, I, O, It's of to work we go............ they coming to take me away haha, they coming to take me away hehe...... Like The Master Assassin's avatar says "I don't suffer from insanity...... I enjoy every moment of it".:spite

You all say you'll make space for me in da bin, Boys I've been keeping seats for you's for who knows how long now, and it's getting crowded so better hurry.....

:f1shy is:shut::'s and completely ::craz.......:woohoo

Mate, i think i might have the same amount of lures if not more!! So i recon you can gooi me into that "Malkop" bin too?

Would like to give you my opinion on lures, everytime i go to buy something simple at the fish shop i end up buying 2 or 3 lures too and that's how i ended up with a million of them. Thing is that with so many lures you never get to use all of them, you use them until you find that special one for your needs and that's where it usually ends!

By looking at your pictures i would like to raise my voice and say this.

This is when looking at the picture from left to right, 4th row from left the forth lure from the top i recon is a killer bass catcher! (4-4)

Secondly, once again 4th row from left the 9th lure (4-9) i recon will also be a winner.

Lastly i would like to ask you about a lure you have in the 7th row 3rd from top. It's a fishy thingy that can acctually move it's body like a real life fish. Did you have any sucess with it?

All the best

Sorry to hear about your addiction, NOT REALLY, need other's to join me here inthe bin, anyhows, who callig us crazy?::craz:lol:1

Had a look at the lures you reffered to, and the (4-4) is a fire-tiger representation from Strike-Pro (not conforming to the traditional fire-tiger colours) the one (4-9) is a Rapala Fat-rap (not a segemented body) in their more natural fire-tiger colour also not conforming to the more taditional fire-tiger colours.

Anyhows the only one that has a segemented body that I cnsider a good one is the one in the sixth row from the left or second from the right the forth lure from the top, also a strike pro, similar incolour to the (4-4) one, i had a pic posted of it somewhere else here just have a lookysee. there's two of them in the pic. LL help Bud, plz?

Oh, i love it!My collection is also about that seize,if i buy something new i have so bring it in undercover but it's hard cause sometime i spend a grand or so just on baits,it just dont seem to fit uder my shirt then, and when the ladybug see it she want to have clothes or something for the house equal in value, its a dogs life....aint it!Those stike pro's seems to work well in estaurys saw it on HIER GAAN ONS ALWEER,i have one tried it once for tiger fising, had only one knock but thats it,here in pongola the Normans and spinner baits work well, fising with them the magority of the time, any how i recon i'm also a bit loo-loo to then!Rapala is that realy you on youre id pick,is it a thong?

Hey Man - don't you know that is the outfitt that Rapala goes fishing in::teas::.

With an outfitt like that who needs to carry handguns and other forms of protection.

Boet the criminals will be running when you show up with that....

Not quite too sure what the fish think of a bit of anal floss though..........

::rofl:::rofl:::rofl:::rofl:::rofl:::rofl:::rofl:::rofl:::rofl:

Good one for asking though...............

As for being looney::hippy1: - I think if you are a thorough bred fisherman we are all looney to a degree. You know you are an addict when you stop at a tackle shop to see what they got and come out with a whole packet of goodies that you don't really need and then try to hide them from the boss pretending that you have had them for a long while. Then to make matters worse of all the stuff you own you end up fishing with just your confidence lures and the other stuff is really just there to impress your fishing buddies and your concience lest you be caught on a fishing trip where one of your buddies is nailing a fish on a certain pattern and you don't got a single one in your whole box.

As for being an sealine addict need we say more this is the height of the looney bin but guys it's great being here with the rest of you nutters. We may be looney at least we all have a great common interest....::balance::bflip:shark

What Ryan said...

but... and there's always a but..... ;)

I on the other hand don't buy anything that I have every intention to fish with. Sure, I use my confidence lures a lot more than others, but when I buy something new, I will try it almost every second time I am on the water, purely because I am new to Bass fishing, and I believe all lures work. you just have to get your timing and place right.

LGF, I just wanna ask you one thing as well...

Can you possibly fish with all those lures in one day?? The fact is, you'll get days that only one lure will work, and sometimes the rule of dark day, dark lure, light day, light lure will get broken..... So yes, you can read the conditions to the best of your ability, and only use what "should" suit them. But sometimes the fish dont read the same rulebook that we do :doh

You cannot tell me that you can tie all those lures onto your line in one day.

But it's still lekker to have a good selection, and to be prepared for any eventuality
