I used chic chic nr 1 quite often in the past especially in the winter when I wanted more food items in the area because my lines stayed in longer. The problem with chic chic is that you have to prepare it theday before and throw it away afterwards. I now cook wild bird seed and crushed maize together and freeze them in 250g bags. I use 1 bag per 1kg groundbait and it rounds off my groundbait well. It leaves enough particles behind and the seeds give extra attraction also. I simply take out enough bags a few hours before I go fish and I have added some preservative so if I don't open the bags I can refreeze them. I also package my groundbait in 1kg bags because I found it better and easier to mix 1kg at a time instead of 2kg. It's better to mix smaller quantities of groundbait more regularly than to mix one big quantity for the whole day. Vacuum packed bags of groundbait also remain fresher for longer than open packets or groundbait standing in a bucket even if the lid is on.

I found some MG popcorn at my local tackle shop and took all 5 bags he had left.

I've only had good thing to say about this feed (for now)

I also got a bag of MF Bokke foer - I use this to help my suppercast feed bind. works like a bom

He also sells floaties called pampoenpitte, you have to get atleast one packet of them they a sweet cinoman bunspice smell and work well all over especially in winter.

When I started fishing I used MG's Popcorn voer mixed with the fine Jan van der Heefer Special.

I tried Supercast kolletjie and very happy with it. I alwas carry a 2 Kg Original with as well

Hi Guys,

have been fishing with Superfeed (Supercast) all my life.  Have heard the stories about the feed not binding, but honestly never had this problem.  Please remember that the feed tend to separate in the bag, i.e. course (flakes) and light (pop corn) particles eventually ends up at the top of the bag and the fines (crushed mealie) at the bottom - especially given the distances we drive to fishing venues.  It is preferable to empty the whole bag in a container where you can mix it through before mixing your dry feed with the water.

Should you open this bag from the "bottom", it stands to reason that you'll have difficulty binding "crushed mealie" without any popcorn, or vice versa, having groundbait that doesn't want to dissolve.   While more expensive the small 1,2kg always mix the best (because you use all of it).
