so I rocked up there and paid me R40 at the gate was told to get a permit from the little bait shop, which doesn't have any and apparently the Green Scorpions gave all the anglers a R750 fine on three occassions, so this is an issue, so if you go fishing there it seems it at your own risk, wrt getting fined.
Does anyone know of any sealiners or friends/family that got fined ? I believe that if they do pitch and ask for a permit they also should be able to sell one to you ? Seeing that Rietvlei is a nature reserve, why do they not police the permits at the entrance and make one available if you do not have one ?
Any comments on this ?
