It depends on the interest being protected. If the shark is eating your fish. That is your problem. If the shark wants to eat you that's his problem.

Nice way of saying it...amazing how the circumstances can change in a nanno second, from being the predator to being the prey....

Hi guys

I think the shark spotting has also got something to do with the sardine run, dived bushy park bout two weeks ago and had lots of action with big yellow tail, bronze whalers and gannets.there was definitely something in the water that was atracting the predators.never dived in the bait balls, looked a bit hairy with all the bronzies popping up next to the boat, but managed to land a nice tail just a bit away from all the action. two days later my friend was buzzed by a white of bout 2.5m in the same spot. The shore anglers always catch whites out by bluewater bay and st georges but they seldom seem to be much larger than 3m. If you spend enough time in the water you'll see one

happy hunting and don't be hunted

Hi Moggy

Was about 300m outside the sards reserve in about 11m of water. I saw tail on four  occasions all in different areas around bushy park, only managed to get a shot on the one though.Like I said there was quite a bit of bait fish around that day and lots of predators!

Great white spotting = august/Sept of Brighton pier. You can see them mauling the skates on the surface.
Once saw a great white take a hugh skate in one gulp on the waters surface 10meters away from the pier.

I agree.

I don't condone killing any animals. Spearing should be done with consideration for fish stock and so forth. truthfully when i dive about 50 percent of the time is looking for fish the other 50 percent in enjoying the nature. it's why I dive.

When I see a shark i generally get out of the water. as much as we don't like seeing them there is a beauty to them to.

Diving is a dangerous sport it comes with the territory. I must admit though it the last (and I mean last) choice is him or me i would prefer me.
