What would you guys say is the best bait, place, time and technique to target grassie?

I think it is a very unknown species and most of us just catch them along with whatever else is biting at the time, but I am sure that there must be a way of having more success in targeting them.

banana mielies on a hair around 7 in the morning on a shalolow flat, termites are also great but other speciecs will bother you,

Yeah like deisel said. I also noted than when ever I use banana mielies I only catch grass carp.

hier is baie groot gras karp sien hulle altyd swem maar hulle wil niks weet van byt nie ons was op die canoe en so 3m van een af gedryf en hy was huge maklik 18kg+ maar nou ja kry nie daai monsters gevang nie:kaykak

I think Bronkhorspruit dam can do with some grasscarp....maybe you will be able to fish their again....in the vaaldam their are plenty of grassie they take floaties and if you put SA powder on your millie ball you double each time not big ones would say about 500g to a 1kg....

cherry tomatoes and mango have worked well for me...other than that not much luck with these unconvinced fish!
