Hi All

Can anyone tell me if the grass is still a problem at Bronkies nature reserve side. I heard that grass is becoming a big problem there. I use to go there allot until the grass became an issue.

I would appreciate any feedback.

Thanks

I was at bronkies last week and the grass situation is really bad, but not on the sides of the dam, it is in the actual water where there are huge chunks of grass in water which is 2m+ deep, it made it very difficult to get to the right spots for bass, the great advantage was that in those huge patches of grass, there are alot of huge grass carp, they were practically swimming right past me on the boat, so i have just changed my tactics next time, to rather go and try to get a grass carp or two!

Hope i could help.
Cheers

How does the grass influence bank angling? Is it possible? And do the people still catch fish? Are the grass a problem on all banks?

Hi bernard

Don't know if you where there since you posted this forum. I was there at nature reserve the weekend, and let me tell you, the grass is a huge problem there. if you want to fish from the banks, you first need to clear yourself a spot, otherwise you will loose fish.

the fish on that side is also very quite. Only had 2 baits the thursday night, which i lost in the grass, the rest of the weekend was very very quite. The one guy caught a big bleshoender there sunday.

Havent been to baja yet since beginning of march, but I know there is much less grass there, but the boats and jetski's tend to be a problem during the day
