Rip curl is the only watch that guarantee the tide will be correct to 1 minute. I had 2 other watches a TIMEX and Casio for tides they all go out in the last quarter. the read 6h15 min for each high to low tide. but in last quarter on 1 day the tide will move 15 mins and the next day 1h20min and the watch can't keep that accuracy but when it comes to New moon the watch will have reset on it own and the tides will be correct until last 1\4 comes again. I never went to go but the Rip curl but i did a lot of research and they the only 1 that backs there watch according to have correct tide info for any day of the month and if its not correct the will have a look at the watch @ the head office and test it. Set it correctly if not done so and if its faulty they will replace it.
I purchased a Casio Fishing gear watch that gives you the peak times the fish feed which would run of the calender the HUNTNFISH site uses. same concept but on a watch but it doesn't give u the tides
The 1 have is based on the same stuff but the model is ddifferent and i paid double the price when it was launched. Mine has a white dial strap slightl different
