My sounder at times does not register depth and starts flashing its last reading for some time before resetting itself.Another problem is that at times the gps battles to orientate itself after being stationary.Any advice?
got the exact sounder issue with my 421s, it is at Garmin at the moment, disconcerting when the shallow water alarm goes off, when you are lying in 50m of water - was that a whale????
Took the unit in to Garmin.The unit was a 2008 model out of warranty.They offered me an exchange/upgrade 421s unit at minimal cost which I was happy to accept.Very impressed with Garmins service.
