Quick review from a newbie (First time ever owning a boat and first time ever trailering a boat)
She run's like a dream. Because of the running in period of the motors I couldn't take her past 3500 rpm for the first few hours, that translated to about 13 knots and then 4500 there after that translated to about 20 knots.
Few things I still need to be tighten with an extra lock nut (Like my steering helm) and maybe a few hand rails need to be added. Also need to get some pool noodle or maybe a tennis ball to plug the scuppers at the back. With 2 big guys fishing the back corners it gets a bit wet.
She is a little bit nose high when everybody is standing at the back or around the center console, but I might be able to solve that by putting a bit of weight at the front or seeing if I can set the trim limit to trim in a bit more.
The thing that really made me tired is finally trying to get the boat on the trailer. Not as easy at experienced skippers makes it look, but it will come to me with practice (Seeing as it's my first time and I have heard a cat is a bit temperamental) . My problem is that every time I line up correctly, but put the boat in neutral to just softly touch the trailer and then power it on. Problem is you have no steering in neutral. I only realized that after the 5th or 6th attempt. Luckily there weren't any boats waiting behind me.
But so far I am very happy.Can only get better.

Congrats,lekker smile that,we have the reverse situation with our supercat been a forward console everyone wants to stand up front to see and feels like the whole back of the boat is out the water,trying to get okes to sit down in the middle of the boat is a mission

Check the red. There are scupper holes behind these fins that opens up directly onto the deck. I don't really care because I normally fish bare feet and like the cooling effect in summer, but winter might change my view on that. The holes are big and I might just put two tennis balls on each side if I want to close them.

Nice boat hope you have fun THE SMILE SAYS IT ALL.Sorry to hijack here but i see MOULDIE has a boat like mine which im busy refurbing Mouldie what motors do you run on your Supercat i have 60"s yammies and was just wondering what he thinks of the boat as im itching to finish mine and go for a spin damn it LOL like i said sorry for the hijack Bulk Carrier.I wont do it again promise LOL
We have yammie 50s on the back and she is so light on fuel with enough power to negotiate our river mouth.
Not actually my boat,belongs to my boss who is also my best mate,i run a tackle shop for them and the boat he bought for himself and also for the bussines in that I take charters out to sea and river fishing trips.
The boat handles nicely and is quite stable,exept when we have a full crew and everyone wants to stand upfront she does broach a bit in a following sea,but then you have to klap a few heads and make them sit down and even the weight out
