Hello can someone tell me
more about gorries? I dont know what fish they are(how they look)? How does one fish for them in estuaries? Thanks. Maybe add a picture?

Can you use gorries for bait?
And if so, what fish have you successfully targeted on them?

Livebait, elf, cob, leervis, sharks and rays etc...fillet bait makes a tough fillet, same species..

I get more waste fish on them than proper fish, lots of ragbags and rays etc. Other baits are better, but if that is what the ocean presents to you for bait, then use it. Works well with a tastier fillet hidden underneath where the fish cant get to it through the gorries skin. I've caught all sorts on it though as it is widespread and the fish well know it as dinner..

what's the likelihood of picking up a fish on a live gorrie if they are thick in the bay ? Been to struisbaai a good couple of times where they were thick in the bay i was fishing, put one out as a livie and got it back as a livie as well
